The two tasks in the Euroexam Writing test at Levels B2 and C1 require you to demonstrate your written communication skills in a specified situation. With your texts, you are expected to achieve a particular purpose in the given genre in an appropriate style.
The 5 Writing Guides found in MyEuroexam also provide candidates excellent additional resources to support their language exam preparation as well as complementing their (native and second language) writing skill development activities at school.
The 4 Genres
While in real life, we may have to write texts in our mother tongue or in a foreign language in a huge variety of genres, Euroexam candidates have the luxury of having to focus on and prepare for the writing of four specific genres only:
Email;
Essay;
Review;
Online Comment.

- functions, communicative and language features of body paragraphs,
- functions and features of the closing paragraph,
- stylistic features of the genre,
- useful online materials for further preparation.
Suggestions for Further Preparation
Each Guide also recommends a number of online sources for those of you who are motivated to extend the range of useful and practical learning materials for even more thorough preparation.
